Waiehu Municipal Golf Course on Maui
For February 2009, the free course of the month is Waiehu Municipal Golf Course on the north shore of Maui.
During an interview on KJAG radio this week, I was asked for the best golfing bargain in Hawaii. I didn’t hesitate: Waiehu.
This little muny is tucked into one of the least touristy parts of the island, on the far side of Kahului and Wailuku. It’s a bit of a trek from the resorts at Kaanapali and Wailea, but for those looking for acres of oceanside golf for just a few dollars, it’s the place to go. Check it out.
